Who leads your company’s obsolescence strategy?

In a recent poll, we asked Converge’s LinkedIn followers who leads their obsolescence strategy. While a little more than 61% of followers said they do have a dedicated team or person, the other 39% either had an individual with other tasks or no team at all.

This begs the question: if a company is not motivating someone to lead their obsolescence strategy, how much time are they really dedicating to obsolescence? When a corporation’s obsolescence strategy is run by one person who has many other tasks, there are likely to be other things that are prioritized instead. This causes obsolescence to take the back burner and could catch companies with their guard down.
