Sourcing from Trusted
Converge’s commitment to quality begins with our policy of sourcing electronic components only from trusted electronics suppliers. This ensures that our customers receive quality electronic components they expect without any surprises. Through our supplier management program, we research and prequalify suppliers to ensure all products are procured from trusted, reputable sources.
Trusted and Verified Suppliers
All prospective suppliers are pre-screened based on a set of criteria, including financial background and reference to industry watch organizations. Converge also conducts periodic on-site supplier visits. Furthermore, all suppliers are subjected to a Dun & Bradstreet report, ERAI and GIDEP screening providing an additional level of security that further qualifies the supplier as a potential sourcing partner.
Once a new supplier is added to our approved supplier list, we closely monitor all activity during a six-month probationary period. Continual monitoring and grading of each supplier is conducted throughout its probationary period and tracked thereafter through our sophisticated trading system. The system tracks and monitors a Converge supplier scorecard, which includes electronic component quality history, performance and service fulfillment, stock supply/demand and order history information.
On-going Performance Reviews
Internal supplier reviews are regularly held to appraise the performance and status of new and existing suppliers. A supplier corrective action request (SCAR) can be initiated for disciplinary action when necessary.
This process identifies any potential problems well in advance and provides valuable information regarding product sourcing.
