Continual Training

At Converge, we take quality seriously and are committed to the continuous improvement of our quality inspectionn processes.

Continual training is provided to all Converge inspectors and component quality engineers, keeping them up to date with the latest manufacturing trends, industry best practices, and new counterfeiting techniques. Converge’s component quality engineers and inspectors are also trained and certified to the rigorous IDEA inspector’s certification program.

In addition, all inspectors and engineers are skilled in our industry leading 76-point inspection process, which includes the IDEA 1010-A standard. Training and testing for this standard is typically conducted off site directly through IDEA and renewed every 2 years. Once certified the inspectors must also complete an in-house training and mentoring program.

All products must pass our extensive 76-point inspection process before being accepted and prepared for shipment at all of our global distribution centers.

Converge is one of the few independent distributors to employ tenured electronics engineers in its distribution centers as well as over 30 qualified inspectors with an average of over 7 years experience. Our highly trained inspectors, with IDEA certification, are experts at identifying potential quality issues and suspect parts.
